Salicylic acid, also known as BHA (beta hydroxy acid), is a fat-soluble ingredient that can work deep within the pores. It helps loosen excess sebum and buildup, which can reduce blackheads, impurities, and a shiny T-zone. Salicylic acid is also known as salicylic acid in international skincare.

Because salicylic acid works in the pores, it is particularly suitable for oily and acne-prone skin. With regular use, the skin can become visibly more even and feel smoother.

Salicylic acid is used a maximum of 2 to 3 times a week. Start slowly with once a week and build up use if your skin tolerates it well. It is important to always use an SPF during the day.
